Triple Seafood Sandwich......in a bagel!

Three is a common number found with many varying recipes and this does just that; this bagel is chock full of fishy goodness and a good source of those proteins and essential fish oils to help our brain do things – personally not a bad choice if you have an exam...or just want to eat a bagel with large amounts of fish.

Ingredients:

  • One toasted Onion bagel
  • Prawns – fresh or frozen and mixed with mayonnaise
  • One Crab stick (sliced) – also mixed with the prawns and mayo
  • Smoked Salmon straight
  • Tomatoes (sliced/chopped) - and mixed with the prawns
  • Fist full of mixed leaf Salad - washed
  • Mayonnaise - original, but light if you prefer
  • Paprika (flavour and colour)

Construction:

Making this delicious wheaty-ocean tease is relatively easy; it’s putting it together than can get a bit fiddly.

For this one I used frozen prawns – defrost the prawns with hot water and drain thoroughly. Throw them into a bowl and leave them for now.

Next find a crab sticks and cut it into circular slices that are not too thick or too thin, and throw them into the bowl with the prawns. Chop the tomatoes into cubes and add them to the mix – I did mention that you can slice the tomatoes...and you can; at this point you want to toast your bagel.

Now take two healthy table spoons of mayonnaise and add it to the prawns, crab and tomatoes and mix it thoroughly; add the smoked salmon to one half of the bagel and top it with some of the mixed salad.

Take the mayo mix and spread this onto the other unused half of the bagel and sprinkle a dash of paprika and pepper on top.

You are now 90% ready; what you need to do now is skilfully combine these two halves to make your one completely perfect Triple Seafood Sandwich....in a bagel! Enjoy!
